Violette's story
Nzokirantevye Violette is a single mother living in Burundi with her 7 children. After conflict devastated her community and left much of the farmland
destroyed, she received emergency food support, which meant her children wouldn’t go hungry.
But Violette dreams of so much more for herself and her family. She joined a savings and lending group supported by friends in Canada like you. With access
to capital through the group, she purchased her first goat to begin her livestock farm, and now she’s building a future where her and her children thrive.
